The project includes the complete remodeling of the main headquarters of the Government of the Canary Islands in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The building, built more than 40 years ago, with a free height between slabs of 2.70 meters, hardly allows the passage of facilities and less of air conditioning ducts, if you want to maintain the regulatory minimum height of 2.50 meters in work areas. The decision to place the air conditioning ducts on the outside and the placement of a double skin that significantly improves the bioclimatic performance of the existing building represent an innovative and modern image for its environment.
The floors are diaphanous, closing the least possible number of offices on each floor, promoting a flexible and dynamic work system. Natural light, diffused through the outer skin that runs along all facades helps to achieve an open and pleasant climate
